I’m tired of opening up to be friends with someone again after years of that connection being gone (after some incredibly understandable, but stupid high school drama). I just hate it when someone says they want to be friends again and then avoid making or keeping any plans—if they even reply to my message at all. Ugh.
I should stop caring, but we had a pretty awesome friendship back then, and I did fuck it up, so the chance to be friends again is pretty awesome. I just don’t want to be jerked around. It hurts. :/

I regret telling anyone about what happened to me when I was a kid, but that is such a heavy thing to keep to yourself for so long.
It’s been 8 years since I got out of a similar situation (after being abused for roughly 7 years), but because the authorities and my family didn’t believe me, I never got the help and support I needed. I think the only reason I survived was because of my friends and their support, along with their families’ support.
I start therapy for it this Fall. I haven’t told my family yet, and I’m going through my school psychologist. I’m afraid to dig the past back up, I’m afraid it’s going to ruin my relationship with my mom (again).
Ahhh I miss trains in Japan. All the people. Except for the times we were packed like sardines. Because then things start to smell funny and hands and other body parts end up in awkward places on you and people you don’t know.
